Props can help us learn skills for our "unassisted" dances, too! The flow of veil through the air can help us feel the pathways to transition between isolations. Learning to balance baskets, swords, or trays deepens our connection to balance in our bodies.
Saturday April 11th, 10am-noon and 1:30-3:30: Hannah will show you how to enhance your balance and to work on balancing props. Basic bellydance movements required. Sunday April 12th, 10am-noon and 1:30-3:30: Lisa teaches veil techniques and leads exercises applying them to isolation transitions. You do not need previous practice with veils, but should be able to do at least a handful of bellydance moves. Workshop participants can perform in the Saturday recital on first come first serve basis. Performance details below. |
